The Delectable Book Club was a book club with a twist. The members read It’s Raining Cupcakes and learned how to decorate cupcakes just like the main character. On the last day of the club they held a pajama party to celebrate all their hard work over the quarter. Got Cupcakes? in Bellmore donated cupcakes for the occasion and the members got to play all different kinds of games like pin the cherry on the cupcake and freeze dance. There was even a cupcake eating contest. Awards were also given out for the best reader in the club, highest score, and many more. Aminah Timmons said, “That was one of the best parties we have ever had.” It was a great way to end.
