Be Great: Graduate promotes higher education and encourages academic excellence for high school students. This new program was developed in response to the increasing number of teenage drop outs in our nation. The dropout rate in America has reached epidemic proportion and the consequences are tragic.
The emphasis of the program is the necessity of becoming educated and most importantly graduating from high school. Attention will be brought to the importance of school attendance, getting good grades, and excelling each year’s standardized test.
Boys & Girls Clubs intentionally target young people who show warning signs that put them at a heightened risk for school failure, they can successfully intervene to address the individual needs of each child to achieve academic success.
